Description Medicare Insect Repellent with 30% DEET provides up to 6 hours of protection against stings and bites and up to 3 hours protection from ticks whether at home or abroad. Unfortunately mosquito bites can cause some serious health problems such as malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever. Tick bites can transmit Lyme disease and FSME. The use of DEET is strongly recommended for destinations where there is a risk of malaria, dengue, zika, chikungunya, yellow fever and West Nile virus. Adults & children 13 years or older: Apply 10 minutes before going out in the sun. If you use the mosquito repellent in combination with a sunscreen product, first apply the sunscreen (30 minutes before exposure to the sun). Then apply the mosquito repellent 20 minutes later (10 minutes before sun exposure). IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MEDICARE 30% DEET SPRAY: Do not apply the product more than once a day. Do not use it during pregnancy or when breastfeeding. Always read the patient information leaflet.
